Instacart to Layoff 250

Instacart, formally referred to as Maplebear Inc., is a retail delivery company that specializes in grocery pick-up and distribution services in the United States and Canada. Customers order groceries or alcohol using the website or mobile application and the store run is completed by a personal shopper. The company was founded in 2012, with its headquarters in California, USA.

According to a recent SEC report, Instacart will layoff about 250 employees in a move aimed at restructuring the organizations workforce. The report further mentions that the estimated costs the company will incur as a result of this restructuring plan will be around $24 million USD.
