Toyota will be investing an additional $1.3 billion USD to manufacture a new 3-row battery electric SUV for the US market. This investment by the Japanese multinational automotive corporation at the manufacturing facility in Kentucky will bring the total funding received by the plant to about $10 billion USD.
As reported by Toyota, this new funding further reinforces the company’s dedication to fostering its vehicle electrification efforts. The report further mentions that a battery pack assembly unit will be added to the facility, with batteries provided by Toyota battery manufacturing North Carolina.
