As of 2019, the estimated number of people living with cancer was over 100 million people, and there are over 100 types of cancers that affect humans. Today, February 4, has been established as World Cancer Day and is recognized by the United Nations.
World Cancer Day is an international day used to raise awareness of this disease and to educate people about the importance of early detection, prevention, and available treatments. It was established on February 4 2000 at the World Cancer Summit Against Cancer, Paris.
