Enbridge Inc is a multinational energy and pipeline company that specializes in the generation of renewable energy, transporting of natural gas, and crude oil. The company was founded in 1949 and boasts of having the largest oil export pipeline network in the world. With its headquarters in Alberta, Canada, the multinational company serves multiple Canadian provinces, the Gulf of Mexico, and various states in the USA.

In 1991, the company was responsible for the largest inland oil spill in the USA, involving about 1.7 million gallons of crude oil in Minnesota.

According to recent reports, Enbridge has announced plans to layoff 650 employees in a bid to cut costs and restructure its operations. The report further mentions that Enbridge plans to eliminate vacant roles and contract positions, and reassign some employees.

The job cuts will commence on February 1 and is set to be completed by March 1 2024.
