The company was founded in 2017, with its headquarters in Texas, USA. In 2022, AST SpaceMobile launched a prototype satellite that currently boasts of being the largest communication array in the low earth orbit of space.
According to recent reports, AST SpaceMobile has currently received an investment of about $206.5 million USD from leading technology company’s like Google, AT&T, and Vodafone. This investment will aid the company’s mission of building the first space based direct to cellular network that would potentially connect over 5 billion devices when activated.
