Intense rainfall has struck parts of the United Kingdom (UK), leading to reports of floods and severe damage to infrastructure, resulting in over 50,000 homes without power. Storm Isha, with winds of 159km/h, has led to the closure of roads, and the suspension of flights, and several train services.
A yellow weather alert has been issued around various regions in the country, and authorities in England have issued 30 flood warnings, where flooding is expected, and 96 flood alerts, where flooding is possible. The report further mentions that about 235,000 residences are without power. Emergency services are currently in place to help people affected by the storm.
