Discord to Layoff 170

Discord is a social platform that offers text, voice and video messaging over the internet. Discord users connect over private chats or in larger groups called servers. In August 2023, Incognito Blog reported an initial layoff that affected about 4% of the company’s workforce.

According to recent reports, Discord has announced its plans to lay off around 170 employees as a result of over hiring, citing inefficiency and unprofitability across marketing and design divisions. The report further highlights the CEO’s statement emphasizing the need for the company to sharpen its focus and improve the way it works together, to bring more agility to the organization.
