According to CNN, Pope Francis, the head of the global Catholic Church, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the idea of surrogacy, as it exploits the situation of the mother’s material needs. The report further mentions that the Catholic Church has long opposed surrogacy, and in the Pope’s statement, he calls for the practice to be prohibited globally.
