Tetris is a puzzle game that was created in 1985 by a software engineer from the Soviet Union, a successor state to the modern day Russian Empire. The game is played by moving various block shaped pieces that descend into the playing field, until completed lines disappear and award points to the player.
According to the Associated Press, a 13 year old video gamer has now become the first player to officially win the original version of the Tetris game. The report further mentions that Blue Scuti, as he is popularly referred to in the gaming community, made it to level 157 of the game and triggered a kill screen that crashed the game.
This kill screen has been considered a win and Tetris’ CEO also acknowledged the gamer’s victory.
