Boxing Day, also referred to as Offering Day, is a holiday celebrated the day after Christmas (December 25). This annual holiday is significant with giving gifts to people in need, shopping at boxing day sales, and continuing the Christmas celebrations from the previous day.
Boxing Day also falls on the same day as Saint Stephen’s Day, a Christian holiday that celebrates the first martyr in Christian history. A martyr is someone who was persecuted and killed for their faith, and in 36 AD, Saint Stephen was stoned to death for his proclamation of the Gospel.
