Apple: $25 Million Class Action Lawsuit

Apple has reportedly agreed to settle a class action lawsuit over its family sharing feature. This feature allows users and up to 5 of their contacts share access to certain purchased applications, music and files. The lawsuit claims that Apple advertised the family sharing feature on apps that did not support subscription sharing.

According to recent reports, Apple will pay a total of $25 million USD to affected US residents that were subscribed to a family sharing group between June 2015 and January 2019. Eligible customers may receive up to $30 USD, with the maximum set at $50 USD per customer. Other claim terms and conditions apply.
