Mercedes Benz has launched its first proprietary electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in North America. 400 charging stations will be constructed in the region over the course of the next seven years, with the first one opening at the company’s USA headquarters in Georgia.
In July 2023, Incognito Blog reported that Mercedes-Benz adopted Tesla’s supercharger for its EVs, now it will be adding over 10,000 Mercedes charging points across the USA, Europe, China and key market regions. This innovation stems from a partnership with renewable energy company, MN8 Energy.
MN8 Energy was formerly founded inside Goldman Sachs, with its headquarters located in New York, USA.
Mercedes Benz will reportedly invest over $1 billion USD in this EV charging hub project.
