Venice is a tourist filled city located in the Northeastern region of Italy. It was built on a group of over 100 small islands and parts of the city are linked by 400+ bridges. With a total population of over 250,000 residents, Venice has been described as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
A terrible tragedy struck the city of Venice on the 3rd of October at approximately 7:45pm local time, when a horrific road accident involving a tourist bus left 21 people dead, including children.
According to recent reports, the cause of the accident is still investigated, as the bus supposedly plunged over a flyover and went up in flames. Venice’s mayor has described the event as ‘an apocalyptic scene’.
Words can’t describe the sense of loss felt by those affected by this tragedy.
