WGAW: Strike Ends After 5 Months

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) have agreed to end their months long strike after coming to an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). The WGA is an organization that represents the interests of writers across various industries like television, radio, new media, and film etc.

The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) and Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) entered into a 3-year minimum basic agreement with the AMPTP, after the Writers board unanimously voted to recommend the agreement. This would result in more than 11,000 striking writers resuming their work.

In May 2023, Incognito Blog reported about the writers embarking on the strike here.
