TikTok Launches TikTok Shop Feature

TikTok is a shortform video and messaging application with its parent company headquartered in China, that has recently been under scrutiny by the USA for its data handling practices. The social media platform has announced the launch of its TikTok Shop for US customers, offering brands and content creators the ability to sell items directly from the application.

TikTok Shop offers in-feed video and live shopping, shopping ads, product showcase, affiliate program, and an in-app checkout system powered and managed by the United States Digital Service (a technology unit of the Government of the US). According to the report, US customers can sign up as TikTok Shop sellers on the Seller Center.
