Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), the German auto manufacturer has announced plans to invest over $700 million USD in its Mini production plants in England. The Mini Hatch, also referred to as the Mini Cooper or Mini, is a small vintage styled car that is produced by BMW and sold under the Mini name.
This investment will reportedly be used to revamp the manufacturing plant and prepare the production lines for 2 new electric vehicle (EV) designs, the Mini Cooper and the Mini Aceman. The report further mentions an additional funding from the UK government to the tune of $93.4 million USD, with the EV production slated to begin in 2026.
