On September 11 2001, suicide terrorist attacks were carried out in different states of the US simultaneously. The attack was coordinated by the al-Qaeda militant organization using 4 commercial airplanes to crash into multiple buildings in New York City, Washington DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, killing about 3,000 people.
