Hyundai is an automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and LG Energy Solution Limited is one of the largest battery producers in the world, a subsidiary of LG Chem Limited, a chemical company founded in 1947, in Seoul, South Korea.
Both companies have announced a battery manufacturing plant and an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant project in Georgia, USA, that would cost a total of $7.59 billion USD. The battery factory will reportedly have the capacity to produce about 300,000 EV batteries every year, and the EV manufacturing plant will produce a similar number of vehicles when work resumes in 2025.
