United States: $15.5 Billion EV Investment

The United States of America, through its Department of Energy (DOE) has announced a $15.5 billion USD funding opportunity for auto manufacturers and organizations focused on electric vehicle (EV) production, vehicle assembly, as well as battery materials.

The program aims to expand the country’s production of hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, plug-in hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles and their related components. According to the DOE’s report, concept papers for the funding has a deadline date of October 2 2023, and application for the program is due December 7 2023.
