Japan: Toyota Suspends Assembly Operations

The Toyota assembly plants in Japan account for one third of the vehicle manufacturers global production, and recent reports claim that all 14 stations have suspended operations due to an undisclosed issue in its manufacturing process. This one-day suspension could possibly result in the output loss of over 10,000 vehicles, as witnessed in previous years.

Toyota Motor Corporation is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world, with an annual production rate of about 10 million vehicles. There was no indication of when operations would commence as the company is still looking to identify the cause.
