T-Mobile to Layoff 5,000

T-Mobile is a wireless network operator (mobile and cellular network provider) and telecommunications company with its headquarters in Kansas, and Washington, USA. The company was founded in 1994 as VoiceStream Wireless, and its major products are mobile telephone services and wireless broadband (internet access).

According to CNN, T-Mobile has announced a workforce reduction impacting 5,000 employees across the corporate and back-office divisions of the company, noting that customer care experts would not be impacted. The report mentioned focus realignment as one of the reasons for the job cuts.
