United Kingdom (UK) is now the 10th Country to perform a womb transplant. With about 100 procedures recorded globally, resulting in 50 babies, giving it a 50% success rate. With a team of over 30 and approximately 17 hours later, surgeons in Oxford carried out the first womb transplant in the region, as reported by the BBC.

The report further mentions some long-term health risks, stating that it would need to be removed after a maximum of 2 pregnancies. Other Countries that have reportedly carried out similar transplants are US, Sweden, Turkey, India, Brazil, China, Czech, Germany, and France.
