The Town of Sairang in the Indian state of Mizoram was struck with an unfortunate tragedy on Wednesday August 23, as a bridge mishap led to the death of 17 people, leaving several others injured. The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga, shared images of the collapsed bridge on X, expressing sympathy with those affected.
The Minister’s report mentioned that the bridge was under construction before parts of it crumbled, stating that rescue operations were swiftly initiated.
