The First All-Electric Acura

Acura is the luxury division of the Honda automobile manufacturer. The brand launched in 1986 as the first luxury arm introduced by a Japanese automaker. The headquarter of the luxury division is located in California, USA and its primary market includes Kuwait, Canada, Panama, Mexico and USA.

In a press release by the Assistant Vice President of Acura National Sales, Emile Korkor, Acura is set to launch its first all-electric ZDX and ZDX Type S models in 2024. This new SUV boasts of being the most powerful Acura SUV ever, with an estimated 500-horsepower engine on the Type S model and a variety of built-in technology including Google, AcuraWatch 360+, Bang & Olufsen audio and many more.

The new SUV will be available for delivery in 2024, and the base model for ZDX A-Spec is going to cost around $60,000 USD while the ZDX Type S is expected to be around $70,000 USD. The press statement mentions pre-sale activities commencing later in 2023 and encourages interested customer to sign up for early access.
