Wipro, a multinational corporation founded on 29th December 1945 in Amalner, India, has evolved into a global contender in information technology, consultancy, and business process services. According to CNN, Wipro announced plans to invest $1 billion over the next three years into artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance its service offerings and equip its workforce with necessary skills to maintain a position at the forefront of technological advancements.
This investment will be aimed at growing Wipro’s AI capabilities and ensuring that its entire workforce of 250,000 employees across 66 countries are adequately trained. The company also intends to roll out workshops covering AI fundamentals and responsible AI usage within the next 12 months.
