Zuru: 7.5 Million Baby Shark Toys Recalled

Zuru is a toy company headquartered in China (Founders are from New Zealand), and the producers of the baby shark branded toys that sing and swim when placed in bath water with children. The reports from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission mentions injuries to 12 children, which has triggered a recall of 6.5 million Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing and Swim Bath Toys (full-size) and an additional 1 million Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Swimming Bath Toys (mini-size).

Baby Shark is a children’s tune that ranks as the first YouTube content to reach 10 billion views. Further to the recall report, the Commission issued an order instructing customers to stop using the affected toys and request a refund on eligible products.
