Google Replaces Passwords with Passkeys

Google is an American multinational technology company that has become a household name, with its services used by billions of people around the world every day. From search engine technology to cloud computing, computer software, hardware, and artificial intelligence, Google’s range of products and services have transformed the way we live, work, and communicate.

Google unveiled their AI chatbot in March 2023, but it is currently limited to users residing in the US and UK. In addition, the company recently announced an update to their privacy feature, the Passkey.

Passkeys provide a simpler and more secure way to access apps and websites, eliminating the need for users to remember different complex passwords. With this new update, users can sign in to their accounts using a fingerprint, a face scan, or a screen lock code, just like they unlock their devices. This not only makes the sign-in process more convenient but also makes it more secure by making it more resistant to cyber attacks.

Google’s report further mentions that passkeys for Google Accounts are now available, and claims setting up passkeys is quick and easy, and you can get started by visiting g.co/passkeys.
