Eid al-Fitr, the “Holiday of Breaking the Fast,” is an important religious festival celebrated by millions of Muslims across the globe. This special occasion marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and is one of the two official holidays observed in Islam. The date of Eid al-Fitr varies every year as it is determined by the sighting of the new moon in the Islamic calendar. This year, Eid al-Fitr falls on April 21 – April 22.
