At 4:10am UTC+1 on 1 March 2023, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, declared Bola Tinubu as the president-elect of Nigeria.
According to the Chairman of INEC, President-elect Bola Tinubu had satisfied the necessary requirements, and won the 2023 presidential election with a total number of 8,794,726 votes and PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar had a total of 6,984,520 votes, which left Peter Obi at third place, with 6,101,533 votes.
