Nvidia, the American multinational technology company, has announced plans to launch a lightweight artificial intelligence (AI) model for India’s widely used Hindi language.
According to reports, the company launched Indus 2.0, a custom AI model focused on Hindi and its many dialects, in partnership with Tech Mahindra in an effort to tap into India’s growing demand for AI technologies.
The report further mentions that the model is built using Nvidia’s small language model, Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi-4B, which features 4 billion parameters. This will help other companies build AI models for the Indian market.
