Salesforce: $1.9 Billion Own Company Acquisition

According to reports, Salesforce has announced plans to acquire Own Company, a leading provider of data protection and management solutions for $1.9 billion USD in cash to strengthen its commitment to data security across its platform.

The report further mentions that the acquisition will enhance Salesforce’s ability to offer secure protection and management solutions to its customers. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025.

Own Company, formerly known as OwnBackup, is a cloud-based data backup and recovery platform founded in 2015 and headquartered in New Jersey. It provides cloud data protection and backup systems for companies using Salesforce.
