Acura To Recall 5,031 Vehicles

Acura has issued a recall of 5,031 vehicles due to a software issue that affects the braking system. According to reports, a software defect in the electronic brake control module can cause the anti-lock brake to falsely activate and release braking pressure.

Affected vehicles include all-wheel-drive 2024 Acura ZDX crossover models. Acura will have dealers update the software and also issue an over-the-air software update for the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), with notification letters scheduled to be sent in September.

The ZDX crossovers were manufactured by General Motors, and earlier this month, Incognito blog reported General Motors issued a recall of 21,469 Cadillac Lyriq all-wheel-drive models due to the same anti-lock brake issue.
