Chevron To Invest $1 Billion in India

Chevron Corp. is an American multinational energy corporation founded in 1849 and headquartered in San Ramon, California. It specializes in oil and gas, as well as hydrocarbon exploration, production, refining, marketing, and power generation, with a presence in more than 180 countries.

According to reports, Chevron has announced plans to invest approximately $1 billion USD to set up an engineering and technology center in Bengaluru, India. The billion-dollar investment will be spread over 5-6 years.

The report further mentions that the Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre (ENGINE) will focus on improving operational reliability and energy solutions as it plans to hire about 600 skilled workers by the end of 2025. The ENGINE will serve as a global solutions center supporting Chevron’s operations through cutting-edge work in digital technology.
