Wildfire Leads To Evacuations In Oregon

Oregon is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States with a population of over 4 million residents as of 2023. It is bordered by Washington, Idaho, California, and Nevada.

According to reports, a wildfire that began on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in the central Oregon community of La Pine has led to several evacuations.

The Darlene 3 Fire, as it’s been called, has burned through 1,700 acres with 0% containment. Evacuation alerts were sent to 1,100 homes and businesses, and about 2,000 people were left without power as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as firefighters have since been deployed to contain the blaze.
